BAZAAR FOUNTAIN

There are Persian inscriptions written on two separate marbles on the fountain. The date of the inscription shows the year H.977. While Selim II was the governor of Konya, he had the spring water from the Ovacık plateau of Karacadağ brought to the social complex he had built in Karapınar, and after he became sultan, the fountain is in the Classical style and still preserves its old beauty.
